I’m reading Homestuck again…

It’s funny, you can really see how Hussie’s mind was really going through some heavy shit in the middle of Act 6. There are various parts where not only he says some obviously genuine stuff coming from his own sense of self, but he starts to make a lot of fun about the way he writes and some characters. Everything feels more meta and self-deprecating than before. Even the Trickster Mode feels somewhat personal.
I’m not happy that he felt this way, it must’ve been awful. But I’m always inclined to think it’s somewhat beautiful when you have the skill, the… Soul to mold these awful feelings into these sort of tablets of impure taste to be taken by broken people to make them see, through this cracked mirror of your experience, their own faults. Or maybe make them into compelling stories, to expand them where their minds haven’t reached yet.
He’s fucking crazy, ok? But I do think he’s a very good writer.
