Hello!!!

I’m really excited to talk about the changes I did for the front page.

I was talking with a friend that also reads sites like this one and we were talking about the effect of the front page. I knew that a front page where the posts are the first thing you see is appealing, it’s just that I couldn’t find a way to match this “new” layout for the site (who remembers the time where this site had that yellow layout with purple text? I do…)

I manage to finally make it work. Now, the first thing you see is the Nightporter playlist for the month; with luck, the spotify embed won’t randomly bug out on your first visit like it sometimes does (just refresh the page if it happens). Below it, the recent posts. A little bit less stilish than the way it was in the past, and running the risk of having a low-res picture covering the whole screen, but it was made with love.

Also, in the past I would keep some posts from the recent posts tab, like the old the-diary entries or the Songs. This time, every new post will always be in the recent posts tab in the front page (ok, probably not the songs, if I decide to put others here).

And then below all of that, where you’d get the recent posts in the past, you have the different categories of the site, divided by both publications, the language the posts are and the Songs tab (I’m still deciding if it should go or not).

That’s it. I hope this is better for you all. Now checking the site’s new posts became much easier!!! I’ll try to edit the look of the actual posts in the near future, so if they change, here’s the announcement for it (it’s kind of hard to know what can and can not be touched in this layout; a free WordPress account has its cons).
